The 20th anniversary edition of Ayreon’s progressive rock space opera “Into The Electric Castle” will be released on October 28th on Music Theories Recordings/Mascot Label Group.

Released in 1998, the original album was the third under the name Ayreon from the Dutch multi-instrumentalist who started his career in the bands Bodine and Vengeance. Arjen Lucassen himself has now re-mixed the audio of the album to 21st century standards, saying “Remastering takes 2 hours, this remix took me 2 months!”

The re-release will be available as 3LP, 5-disc Earbook and Limited Edition Box Set. Pre-orders will be signed by Arjen. In addition to an expansive photo book with new liner notes, the Earbook has 5 discs. Disc 1 and 2 have the 20th Anniversary remixed audio, disc 3 and 4 have instrumental (or karaoke…) versions of the remixed audio, and disc 5 (DVD) has the entire album in glorious, over-the-top-with-spacey-soundeffects 5.1 surround audio and bonus video material.
