Lordi as Max Raabe’s guest at MTV Unplugged

Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester invited to a MTV Unplugged concert to Berlin, Clärchens Ballhaus, in May: One of the guests was Mr. Lordi, singer of Finnish shock-rocker LORDI. Under the sign of the slogan “Opposites attract”, the duet of Max Raabe and Mr. Lordi was an unsual highlight of the show. The MTV Unplugged Show will premiere on 22nd November at MTV and will also be released on CD, Vinyl and DVD.


Mayhem announce two shows in Sweden

Norwegian black metal legends Mayhem has announced two shows in Stockholm and Gothenburg. The support for these shows will be Gaahls WYRD with former Gorgoroth frontman Gaahl. Tickets are available now.

Benediction to part ways with Dave Hunt of Anaal Nathrakh

Dave’s schedule has become increasingly congested with his commitments to both Benediction and Anaal Nathrakh as well as his relentless studies for his PhD. Therefore Dave will vacate the role in Benediction he has commanded with such strength for over 20 years. A further announcement regarding the identity of the new singer will be made nearer to July.

Molly Hatchet singer Phil McCormack (1960-2019) remembered

Formerly of The Roadducks (who released one album, “Get Ducked” in 1987), Phil McCormack had stood in for Brown briefly in early 1992 (the same year as he sung on two tracks, “Let Me Be Your Driver” and the title track off the Savoy Brown album “Let It Ride”) and joined them as their new singer in 1995.
