Black Stone Cherry releases the video for Blame It On The Boom Boom from “Live From The Royal Albert Hall… Y’All”
On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, the day of the band’s 20th anniversary, the Kentucky band’s dream came true when they played at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The band’s frontman Chris Robertson sits on the stage of the iconic Victorian building, looks around and says, “When you as a child see your idols playing in places and then suddenly you yourself are on the same stage is quite moving. But we will rock royally tonight, I can promise you that. ”
This is what drummer John Fred Young says about playing at the Royal Albert Hall, “Honestly, I was terrified. You think of all the amazing artists who have played there. It’s such prestige. We have wanted to play at the Royal Albert Hall ever since we toured here for the first time in 2007. ” He continues, “Some guys from the Kentucky countryside have gained a large crowd of fans and fans that we care so much about and who come to our gigs and support us in everything we do. Knowing that all the hard work and dedication we put into Black Stone Cherry has paid off means everything to us. Stepping into the building makes one lose one’s breath. You enter the stage and say to yourself, we did it, and it’s a feeling I will carry with me for the rest of my life. ” On the blu-ray version, we also get to see the band in lodges behind the stage and see interviews as well as a lot of older material from when the band started, their first tour in the UK and hear the band’s memories and flashbacks. But in the end, Live From The Royal Albert Hall… Y’All is about taking rock ‘n’ roll, as it is done in Kentucky, to London and the band got the roof up.
