Conquer Divide presents the Official music video for “Atonement”

The single was first played on the radio station Sirius XM’s program Octan a few months ago and has already been streamed over 500,000 times. Guitarist Kristen Sturgis says: “The song touches on feelings of remorse, which we try to convey in the video. You can, for example, see another of our music videos glimpse past. They see time rush by as they wonder what their lives would have been like if they had just put in a little more effort and got involved. The hardest things in life are often the ones that are the most significant and life is short. So if you are not ready to meet us on our terms, get out of the way. ”

Drummer Sam Landa adds, “The word reconciliation (atonement) is about trying to sort things out, asking for forgiveness, about being remorseful for something you have done and the hope that everything will be fine. In this song, it’s too late for that, the damage has already been done and there is no going back. The song tries to capture moods as betrayal, about being left to fend for themselves by people who choose the easy way out of a relationship. The feelings literally explode in the middle part of the song and which are then rebuilt, which reflects how such things can escalate in real life. Like the calm before the storm and then another kind of calm. “We do not know who you are and we have accepted it. But do not come back and ask for forgiveness when you have exhausted all possibilities

The band was formed in 2013 and the distance between the members inspired the band name. They signed for Artery Recordings after releasing only one single. Their debut album, from 2015, was produced by Joey Sturgis, featured a guest appearance from Asking Alexandria singer Denis Stoff and has been streamed 20 million times. It reached number 4 on the iTunes Metal Chart, number 8 on the Billboard Heatseekers list and was the first band on Artery Recordings to enter the Active top 40 rock rotation. The band then toured for two years and gained a smaller but fanatical crowd of fans. After Artery was acquired and later shut down by Warner in 2017, the band took a break to focus on their private lives. Meanwhile, their songs continued to be streamed more and more and when the fans started asking for new music, the band was ready to enter a new era.
