Danish prog band VOLA to release Applause Of A Distant Crowd

Copenhagen based band VOLA will release their new album on October 12th on Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group. “Applause Of A Distant Crowd” is an album based on the themes of how society distracts from reflection and how human relationships are affected through fear and anxiety. The title refers to how people relate to social media and try to impress people who they have limited contact with in real life.

Asger Mygind (vocals/guitar), Martin Werner (keys), Nicolai Morgensen (bass) and Adam Janzi (drums) have made an album with a dirtier sound than on their debut, with more of a live feel and bigger contrasts between mellow and heavy sounds. Andy VanDette (Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Devin Townshend, David Bowie) has mastered the recording which was produced by Asger Mygind himself.
