Batushka announced as opening act for Behemoth/Lamb Of God concert in Gothenburg

As previously reported here at Stargazed Magazine, Behemoth is joining forces with US act Lamb Of God for a show at Gothenburg’s Partille Arena on June 26th 2019.

It has now been announced that the Polish black metal band Batushka will be the opening act. Singing in Russian, the band’s Cyrillic name means “father” and is used to address an Eastern Orthodox priest. In addition to the incinerating shrieks that you might expect in black metal, you’ll hear also reverberating liturgical chants in Church Slavonic – the language used in the Orthodox Church, something also reflected in clothes and stage show.

Tickets are available from Tickster.
