Batushka to support at King Diamond concert in Stockholm
As previously reported here at Stargazed Magazine, King Diamond will do an exclusive show at Fryshuset Arenan in Stockholm, Sweden on August 8th.
It has now been announced that the Polish black metal band Batushka will be the opening act. Singing in Russian, the band’s Cyrillic name means “father” and is used to address an Eastern Orthodox priest. In addition to the incinerating shrieks that you might expect in black metal, you’ll hear also reverberating liturgical chants in Church Slavonic – the language used in the Orthodox Church, something also reflected in clothes and stage show.
Tickets are available from Tickster.
