Equilibrium reveal “Renegades” artwork and European tour with Swedish date
As previously reported here at Stargazed Magazine, epic metal pioneers Equilibrium will perform at Gefle Metal Festival which takes place on July 19-20th, 2019 at Gasklockorna in Gävle, Sweden.
The band has now revealed the cover artwork to their upcoming 6th studio album, “Renegades”, to be released on August 16th, 2019 via Nuclear Blast.
“Renegades” was recorded and produced during September 2018 until March 2019 by the band itself and Swedish producer Robin Leijon and it is the first Equilibrium album to feature Skar with his clean vocals and Skadi Rosehurst on synths. The artwork was also created by Rosehurst, the new band member.
Berthammer states: “Once again Skadi has captured the spirit of our new album “Renegades” in an awesome piece of art. It fits perfectly with the music and lyrics that can be expected on this album. We also cannot wait to hit the road again to spread our music and the message behind it across these beautiful countries. We are very proud to have “Lord of the Lost”, “Nailed to Obscurity” and “Oceans” on board for this tour. All these bands are very unique and we think this whole package will guarantee a very special experience that you don’t want to miss!”
In support of this upcoming release, the band will tour Europe in early 2020 to present the new material to their fans! Direct support will come from German dark-rock band Lord Of The Lost. Melodic death metallers Nailed To Obscurity and newcomers Oceans will be playing as the opening acts!
Tickets are on sale today, May 29th, at www.renegades-tour.com. Find all dates below!
Tickets for the Swedish date on the tour – February 5th, 2020, at Fryshuset Klubben in Stockholm – went on sale today at 10.00 through Tickster. Lord Of The Lost and Nailed To Obscurity will be supporting for a full night of German metal music.
Equilibrium has since their 2005 debut mixed folk, black metal, symphonic metal and traditional German music with lyrics based on German folk tales and mythology. Lord Of The Lost plays gothic metal and melodic death metal band Nailed To Obscurity has previously toured with Dark Tranquillity.

LORD OF THE LOST states:
“We are very much looking forward to this tour with Equilibrium, because it means not only an exciting musical combination of both bands, but also the discovery of new territory, not only in the form of new countries and cities, but especially through a partly new audience for us. We are convinced that both bands will inspire the fans of the other band and can’t wait to set off with Equilibrium.”
NAILED TO OBSCURITY adds:
“During the first tour right after the release of our latest album „Black Frost”, we played in front of so many different and great people, and we can’t await to spread our songs even further. We are extremely looking forward to this tour and are counting the days until it finally starts! “
