Grand Slam hits the ground

If you say Thin Lizzy or Phil Lynott have most of the situation. If you say, however, “The Grand Slam” is usually met by a question mark. “The Grand Slam” is the band formed for Phil Lynott’s solo tour in Scandinavia in the summer of 1983. In addition to Phil, the band consisted of both Thin Lizzy comrades Brian Downey and John Sykes on drums and guitar, as well as keyboardist Mark Stanway from Magnum. In 1983, Thin Lizzy said goodbye but “The Grand Slam” existed and that changed until January 1986 when Phil so tragically left us. Fast forward thirty years and the band makes a welcome return to the Sweden Rock Festival. The success culminates in the album debut album “Hit the ground” and with it in the baggage it is finally time for new Swedish dates.

Now they come to Sweden for two dates
3/4 Trollhättan Backstage Rockbar
4/4 Helsingborg The Tivoli
