Heathen Blood, lyric video, by Death Metal Veterans – Firespawn
Sweden’s Firespawn is a super death metal project involving members from Entombed, Unleashed and Necrophobic. This project saw the light in the year 2015 when the band released their full length album Shadow Realms. Two years later the band released their second album The Reprobate. With veteran members selected from the Swedish underground scene such as LG-Petrov on vocals, Victor Brandt and Fredrik Folklare on guitars, Alex Friberg on bass and Matte Modin on drums. Firespawn focus on satanic lyrics and the brutal side of death metal, seemingly their music is more into the vein of bands like Morbid Angel, and Behemoth. Firespawn has released a new video from their latest studio effort “Abominate”
Brandt says: “It’s a great feeling to be able to release the third Firespawn album and to be more pleased with the outcome than you could expect. Everyone’s efforts (band, producer, painter, photographer, layout, label) have been above and beyond.”
Friberg comments: “On this album, we pushed ourselves more then before outside our comfort zone. You will hear a lot more heavy metal influences on this album.
“We never aimed to be a death metal band in the ordinary death metal genre. We make exactly the kind of music that we like and that is more to the extreme side but we always try news things and think outside the box and that is what’s so great with Firespawn. Always refreshing great fucking metal! This album is no exception, quite the opposite. On “Abominate”, we explore new ground that not many death metal bands have before. Listen to it and you’ll know what I’m talking about.”
