Joe Bonamassa to release special editon on vinyl

Joe Bonamassa releases three special editions on vinyl, You & Me, The Ballad of John Henry and Live From The Royal Albert Hall on April 22 on Provogue Records / Mascot Label Group.

Joe Bonamassa’s fifth studio album, You & Me, was released in 2006 and has been remastered from a single to a double LP on a mammoth 180 gram transparent orange vinyl for the first time. When it was first released, it entered # 1 on Billboard’s blues list. His band at the time consisted of Carmine Rojas (bass), Jason Bonham (drums), Rick Melick (piano / organ) and Jeff Bova (orchestration). It was then considered his best album to date by Allmusic.com and featured versions of Led Zeppelin’s Tea for One, Sonny Boy Williamson’s Your Funeral and My Trial and Charley Patton’s High Water Everywhers as well as original songs such as Bridge to Better Days and Asking Around for You.

The fans’ big favorite from 2009, The Ballad of John Henry, also comes in colored vinyl for the first time and has also been remastered to 180 gram double-LP on brown vinyl and contains a bonus track, B.B. Kings Chains and Things. Bonamassa’s seventh studio album also rushed into Billboard’s 1st place on the blues list and also achieved great success in Europe. He was now well on his way to becoming a superstar and the album contains several original songs as well as covers of songs by Tom Waits, Sam Brown and Ike & Tina Turner.

It is on stage that Joe Bonamassa really comes into his own and in May 2009 he played at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London. It became a memory for life for those who were there and now one of his best concerts has for the first time been remastered on 180 grams of vinyl as a triple LP. The special evening featured a selection of his own songs as well as covers and guest artists such as Eric Clapton and Paul Jones. A truly memorable evening.

With 25 first places, annual sold-out tours around the world and annual rock cruises, he is hard to beat. These plates are a testament to his talent and a toast to his fans who remember the originals and to the newcomers who get to experience them for the first time. Bonamassa when he is at his best, ready to rock.
