It’s been a long time comin’ but Steve Perry (the vocalist of AOR giants Journey during their commercially most successful period, 1977 to 1987, and from 1995 to 1998) will return with a studio album titled “Traces” on October 5th, according to Amazon. This will be his third solo album, following “Street Talk” from 1984 and 1994’s “For the Love of Strange Medicine”.

Perry has now released his first single, after having spent decades shying away from the spotlight, the song “No Erasin'” which can be heard below.

“I met someone and I fell in love with this person, and I lost this person to breast cancer four years ago,” Perry revealed in April. “In the midst of that, I had written some songs, and before I met her I had sketched some. And so about a year ago, I started recording.”
