There are two instruments I absolutely LOVE. Drums and cello.

There are a few bands I have listened to and loved for ages. This is one of those.

Fact 3:
This is the first instrumental album they have released in 17 long years.

Fact 4:
This is balance, beauty, brutality, breakdowns – and brilliance.

On this, their ninth studio album, Apocalyptica take us with them on a nine track long marvellous journey through sound and emotions, through joy and pain, laughter and tears, and all we can do is hold on tight and enjoy the ride.
And also breathe and relax, because they bring calm in the chaotic intensity.

The calm may be dark, overwhelming and with all kinds of twists, edges and turns, but it still manages to give comfort.
Like being surrounded by atmospheric clouds and colours – and beauty being dragged in dirt. And it’s simply amazing how much the music speaks if we take the time to truly listen with all senses, and how much variety there is on this album, the soft whispers and the raw screams.

Balance.
Pretty much one of the best words in the world.
