Diabolical – Eclipse
8/10
Out of the mystical mist of “Eclipse” Diabolical brings some excellent combinations to show how to combine black-metal, brutal death-metal, and melodic death-metal touches with grand dark symphonies and putting it together for the fifth time showing that the band really can bring a great combination together of darkness, as they released their video of the song “ We Are Diabolical”, the first song from the upcoming album showing a dark apocalyptical world and a grand opening for the album that surely sets the mood for the whole album.
As the band are about to release there fifth full-length album ‘Eclipse’ which is a concept album focusing on the dark sides of humanity I only had to listen to it one time to really get a good feeling of the album, the journey we go on with this album into the “Eclipse” moves on with “Betrayal “ that steps up the tempo and has great majestic vocals that makes you want to hear more of the songs. The songs that really makes the album great for me are the grand opening of the cd “We Are Diabolical” , song number 4 “Failure” and number 6 “Hunter” don’t hesitate they are all good songs and picking a outstanding song from a really good album is hard. Iam not a huge fan for intro`s on songs and when song number 7 “Tyranni” which is a instrumental song I would usually skip to the next song and move on but I hardly noticed that it was a instrumental song because I was capture on the atmosphere of the whole album.
The band can really show that they are Diabolical with really talented musicians, the art work for the album took a hold of me from their last cover who had some color on it, this is dark with a silverish black skull upside down with a dark liquid running on it.
They are going on tour with Septicflesh starting the eight of March in Essen, Germany.
You can order the album as a Digipack CD or LP
