For those who are not familiar with this band I can tell you that these germans has been around for about 20 years.
Some would call them a power metal-band but I consider it not to be. I would describe their music as melodic epic symphonic metal with sing-along choruses with a singer that reminds me of Biff Byford from Saxon.
They have never changed style but their music keeps growing and Klaus Dirks vocals sounds more powerful during the years.

So what is this album like?
The album starts with a pretty fast song, “Ghost of A Chance”which is a great opener and is also their choice as the first videosong from this album. It is followed up by four good songs no more no less in typical Mob Rules-style but none of them really gives me goosebumps.

But then we have an eight minute long epic “War of Current” and that is a different story, it is so dramatic and contains a lot of exciting elements. The other longer song is “Revenant of the Sea” which is a heavy song with soft verses. This one is a little bit different from what I normally hear from Mob Rules, this one is also great.

Another stand out track is “Way Back home”, a little faster track with a great melodic chorus and one of the best songs of the album, in the same vein as “On the Edge” and “Hydrophobia” from earlier albums. I just love these kind of songs from Mob Rules! The album closes with a decent ballad as so many albums before this one.

There are few surprises here, we get a melodic symphonic epic album with good production. The album contains no fillers and I think that Klaus Dirks english is getting better and better which is a very good thing. The first half of the album is good but the second half is brilliant and thanks for that!
