Night Flight Orchestra – Sometimes The World Ain’t Enough
I had huge expectations when I heard that the Night Flight Orchestra was going to release a new album only a year after their magnificent “Amber Galactic”. When I heard “Amber Galactic” it totally knocked me down the first time I’ve heard it and to be honest that’s pretty unique in my world. The songs were fantastic and the diamond on the album is the real beauty “Something Mysterious”. So believe me when I say that my expectations were high.
Disappointed is a strong word, even if listen to music is very subjective, but when I heard “Sometimes The World Ain’t Enough” the first time that’s the first word that came up in my head. What the hell is happening. There were songs like “This Time”, “Turn To Miami”, “Can’t Be That Bad” and “Barcelona” which I thought were good songs but not even near the music they released a year ago. Something happened and still happening when it comes to this album, it’s growing for every time I’m listening to it. And for me that’s also a strenght as a musician, because songwriting can turn out in many different ways. “Amber Galactic” was a killer directly and this new album grows the more you listen to it.
My expectations were crushed but I have to admit that my disappointment has fade away to. Night Flight Orchestra is still one of Swedens best bands and “Barcelona” is one of the best songs released in 2018. If you haven’t discovered Night Flight Orchestra yet i recommend “Amber Galactic” but this is also an album with an extremely high potential because it’s growing for every listening.
