Orden Ogan review – Sabaton Open Air 2018
9/10
Oh my god, what happened was my first thought when Orden Ogan was done and one of their best songs “Fields Of Sorrow” sounded in the speakers after their brilliant show. A few hours before the show I hook up with guitarist Tobi and bassplayer Niels (who this evening play the guitar because their leader “Seeb” shows up in Falun with a broken thumb that prevent him from playing guitar) for an interview and when I ask of their expectations to play the Sabaton Open Air Tobi said and I quote:
“We will be great as always”
And great they were. With a smile on their faces and great communication on stage they totally knocked me out. You could see from the start that they really enjoyed playing in Falun this friday night. To be honest I haven’t heard Orden Ogan that much over the years but believe me when I say that I will in the future. Ten songs is on the menu this time and when they play songs like “Gunman”, “Deaf Among The Blind”, “The Lords Of The Flies” and “Come With Me To The Other Side” I stand there with a stupid smile on my face and just love what I’m watching. Niels Löffler doing a great job filling “Seebs” shoes as a guitarplayer and Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann can concentrate only to sing those brilliant songs. When I attend festivals I usually got blown away by surprise at least once a year and 2018 it was Orden Ogan from Arnsberg in Germany who did the job. Great songs, great musicians, great contact with the audience and last but not least two absolutely great guys in Tobi and Niels who made a great interview before the show. Thank you.
