Stryper – God Damn Evil
7/10
Stryper release their 10th studioalbum. An album I think is pretty good. They’ve got a modern sound to their own style. Michael Sweet’s voice is still very good. The first song on the album is also the first singel, “Take it to the cross”, is kind of a new way for the band.
A bit of trash-metal in the chorus makes this song stand out. The song “The Valley” is a heavy track with lyrics taken from the bible. Nice choir in the Chorus. The production by of the album is great. Nice work there. “Sorry” sounds heavy.
The bass player Perry Richardson, former co-founder of Firehouse, does his job perfectly. He fits just right in the band. Stryper is a christian band. but I don’t think they preach with their Music. They just do what they believe in. “Can’t live without your love” is a nice ballad type of song.
Feels 80’s about it. Nice! “The devil doesn’t live here” rounds up the album Not bad at all!
