Transport League – A Million Volt Scream

7/10

If there was a medal for persistence and perseverance Transport League should have a dozen of them. You should be adoring Toni Jelenkovic for not throwing in the towel forever ages ago. Here you will be served the perfect mix of COC, Pantera and a slight touch of so called desert rock. So welcome to the world of Boogie rock from hell. A piece of plastic everyone should own! Having a title like “1200 goddamned” is a funny and at the same time curious to what on earth it´s meant. Listening to a song like “Monster Human” I almost start to search for sludge songs but this comes with the familiar touch of Transport League.

Glad to say that it´s almost a dead race upon what song to stand out above the rest. “Vanished Empire” differs from the rest of the album and almost , if you´re very open minded, a bit djent- but not trying to be the next Meshuggah. “Facedown Bondage” is the other competitor.

Who will join me in trying to get the band some airplay? This needs to be heard to the masses. They certainly got the ingrediencies for a successful rotation on any rock / metal radio station when you read what bands that I compare them to.
Now is the time to beg the band for forgiveness as I am one who maybe know about your existence but not really taken a serious attention to you. I will from now on note every time you guys release a new album or comes near me on tour.
And of course they go out with a perfectly carved out Boogie Rock song, “Rabid Horizon”.
At the end of the year when I am figuring out what records to put on the best of 2019-list this is a must for the highest places.
