Tungsten – Live at Sabaton Open Air 2022-08-04

Just as I arrived at Sabaton Open Air I felt some raindrops, and dressed in shorts and a t shirt I thought that I would be drowned. But as soon as Tungsten entered the stage, the sun came out and greeted the fans and the band with a warm welcome to Falun 2022.

The band is one of those smaller bands who don’t give a damn that they are one of the first bands out on a festival. The bassplayer Karl Johansson could just not stand still at all. Mike Anderssons voice suits fantastic to this kind of heavy melodic metal the band play. Far from what Anders Johansson made with HammerFall and Manowar that is for sure. I for one had bad or no control over what the band has done before but I was happily surprised. I cannot come up with a band similar to this band, go look them up if you like your metal melodic and heavy. I could hear a slight note of a Pantera riff in “March Along”, am I wrong?

Lets see what the future has in its hand for this band. On the verge of being one step bigger maybe. For me I think they are better live than on a record.
