I once read an interview with Swedish punk rock godfather Thåström where he claimed that you cannot be 50 years old and sing about being young and horny. But hardcore pioneers Raised Fist prove that you can still be just as angry after 30 years on stage as when you were in your late teens.
I am not really a hardcore fan but Raised Fist impress me. They are furious on stage and how they can go on in the same tempo for an entire set beats me. They have a lot of attitude and feel like the real deal. This is not a bunch of middle aged guys who are trying to make some money on the stuff they did when they were young and political. Raised Fist are true to their origin. I still probably won’t start listening to hardcore on records or streaming services, but I would happily see Raised Fist live again.
