I really like especially the first three Witchcraft records, so please consider “Black Metal” a one time failed experiment and go back to the old school doom rock instead. That’s what you do best.

So, is this change good or bad? I’ll say that’s left for the ears of the beholder. The sound is still very primal and the mix of heavy metal and black metal is rather intact.

All lyrics are in polish so I don’t have the slightest idea what they are about, but they give the impression to be quite religious in an orthodox way, and at least I hope they are full of blasphemy, but for all it’s worth, they could as well be praising the Lord…
Norway’s avant-garde metallers Borknagar have announced that their new album, entitled “True North”, will be released by Century Media Records/Sony Music on September 27th, 2019. Following up 2016’s acclaimed “Winter Thrice” release, the new Borknagar effort has once again been mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden.
As previously reported here at Stargazed Magazine, Polish black metal act Batushka will release their sophomore album “Hospodi” through Metal Blade Records on July 12th. Now the band have shared the majestic new song and video for “Wieczernia”.
The album is built around rhythm. Drums, guitars and vocals are the foundations for the album, pianos and various synthesizers are used for decorating it. The latter are used sparingly, thank you very much.
Norwegian black metal legends Mayhem has announced two shows in Stockholm and Gothenburg. The support for these shows will be Gaahls WYRD with former Gorgoroth frontman Gaahl. Tickets are available now.
Today, Samael will be hitting the road on a 12 date European tour, opening in Stuttgart, Germany. At the same time the band premiere a new music video for the title-track of their latest studio album “Hegemony”, which was released back in October 2017.

Alcest have signed to Nuclear Blast Records and are currently working on their 6th, as of yet untitled, studio album which is due later in 2019.
Asp previously reported, Behemoth is joining forces with US act Lamb Of God for a show at Gothenburg’s Partille Arena on June 26th 2019. It has now been announced that the Polish black metal band Batushka will be the opening act.
On April 12th, German extreme metallers Ketzer will release their fourth full-length, “Cloud Collider”, via Metal Blade Records. As a preview of “Cloud Collider”, the album’s new single, “The Wind Brings Them Horses” is now available.
