Brazilian vocalist, pianist and composer Andre Matos died on June 8th following a heart attack. Since 2006, Matos had been dedicating his time primarily to his solo band.
The album, the music and the lyrics all seek to empower the listener and remind them that THEY are masters of their destiny and what happens in their lives.
“‘Night Call Girl’ is a huge tribute to the 80’s metal we grew up with. It’s a mix between Gary Moore, Rick Springfield, Europe and Journey. The lyrics are all about the classical catch phrases they used in those days and it has one of the best “sing along” choruses on the album. Power metal doesn’t go far away from 80’s metal so that’s why we felt that this tribute to our 80’s hair metal heroes fits great on »Above The Sky«.”
Delivering a load of fast-paced anthems, imbued with Eriksson’s soaring vocals, the band are sure to please fans of titans such as Helloween, Sonata Arctica, Gamma Ray and Stratovarius.
