Bob Kulick

Kiss and W.A.S.P. collaborator, Meat Loaf guitarist Bob Kulick (1950-2020) remembered with Balance and Skull from Blackthorne to Murderer’s Row.

Bob Kulick – older brother of former Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick – produced numerous tribute albums and led the bands Balance, Skull, Blackthorne and Murderer’s Row before releasing his only solo album in 2017. Bob Kulick also recorded with Meat Loaf, Kiss, Paul Stanley, Lou Reed, Mark Farner, W.A.S.P., and many others.

Then KISS were support of Whitesnake.  Apparently, it wasn’t easy for them to be just a support – as they were used to a big success in US.  I heard from my tour manager, from our road crew that things were getting rough backstage…  But that’s life – the tables turn. And it happens in everyone’s career.  I mean – Jesus, Metallica was opening for Vandenberg! And now I would be happy to open for them.

Whitesnake – Flesh & Blood

“Get Up” is another track with a small barely noticeable homage to the early Whitesnake. Here you can if you listen well hear “Slow an easy” kind of guitars, it moves on to a cocky little song that is hard to sit still to.
