MY THOUGHTS
I will never forget when I heard Tesla for the first time. A week before the release of their debut album “Mechanical Resonance”, the legendary Swedish radio show Rockbox aired “Cumin’ Atcha Live”. What I heard that night floored me completely and I ordered the album via mail order a few weeks later since I couldn’t find it in my local record store. It seems that most people are picking its predecessor ”The Great Radio Controversy” as their best offering but for me it has always been the debut album at the top. My copy of the vinyl is almost worn out by now and the fact that I still love the record just as much as I did 36 years ago says a lot. On Sweden Rock Festival 2008 I finally got the chance to witness Tesla live for the first time, and when they opened the show with the mentioned ”Cumin’ Atcha Live” it brought tears to my eyes….

”Faces, strange faces cloud my mind
Empty traces, make it hard for me to find
Somewhere in the distance, is there someone who awaits
For that moment I am taken over by the hands of fate”
