Bonfire – Fireworks (1987)

1. Sweet Obsession
2. Never Mind
3. Ready 4 Reaction

Bonfire’s second album, most fittingly titled ”Fireworks”, made a huge impact on me and my friends back in the days. The effective and direct melodic hard rock was impossible to resist. Nowadays, when I put on the album and listen from start to finish, I can’t neglect the fact that the album is a bit uneven and sounds a bit dated, but the nostalgia effect wins me over in the end. The highlights are genre-classics and the cheesy lyrics just something that comes along with the genre and doesn’t bother me that much.

”Lost horizons
You know we turned the wheel too fast
Who will pay the price
When this time is past”
– Never Mind –
